31ST ANNUAL PISTA SA NAYON POSTPONED UNTIL 2021

Dear Pista sa Nayon Supporters and Friends,

After careful consideration and thoughtful conversations about how to host our annual festival in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is with heavy hearts that we announce that Pista sa Nayon, scheduled for July 26, 2020, will be postponed until 2021. Given the overwhelming concern surrounding COVID-19 and social distancing guidelines, the decision to postpone the 31st annual festival was made with the health and safety of Pista participants, volunteers, visitors, and the entire community at the forefront of our minds.

Pista has been a summer tradition for 30 years. We are proud of Pista and all that it has come to mean to this community. It’s an event that celebrates culture, community and family. It’s about each and every one of you who have showed up at Seward Park year after year. We’ve laughed together. We’ve highlighted our culture through music, dance and spoken word. And we’ve shared our favorite Filipino foods together. We aim to do that again. Pista at Seward Park will be back! Right now our top priority is the health and safety of our community, vendors, performers, volunteers, and attendees.

While we will not be gathering together in-person this year, we remain committed to highlighting and sharing our Filipino culture and uplifting the community. Stay tuned for updates as we explore ways to keep the Pista spirit alive with virtual programming this summer.

We hope everyone continues to stay safe and healthy. In the spirit of Pista, Maraming salamat! We look forward to seeing you and being together again in July 2021.
