After 30 years of dedicated public service, Larry Alcantara
retired in 2002. Larry brought his leadership skills to the positions of
affordable housing liaison for King County Executive Ron Sims, manager of King
County Records and Elections, and human resources professional for the City of
Seattle.Larry has been with Pista since its creation. He went from sponsoring the Filipino American City Employees of Seattle (FACES) booth during year one, to chair of the event, the next year. Larry has enjoyed this leadership role for it gives him the opportunity to support and assist the other committee chairs and volunteers. Larry considers his job the best job on the organizing committee because it allows him a front row seat to “watch great people do good work.”
